Get Paid for Your Curriculum

Curriki, the free curriculum wiki, is paying contributors to grow their content this summer. In their 2008 Summer of Content initiative, the site is seeking
  • middle school content in English language arts, math, science, and social studies,
  • and high school content in ELA and social studies.

They are offering $500 for a 3 to 4 week unit of instruction and $1600 per semester course. Grant guidelines, posted on their web site, require a Curriki training session for the use of their platform and tools.

In other Curriki news, Cool School, a computer game to teach conflict resolution skills to children ages 5 to 7, is now available.  The game was developed by the U.S. Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) in cooperation with child development programs at the University of Maryland, the University of Southern California and the University of North Texas. It was tested at school locations in Illinois. The game's new home on Curriki is a perfect fit for a free resource of high quality.
